I live for poop
I spread 2500 more lbs of composted manure in two garden plots today. That has to be one of the most satisfying tasks in the field of all human endeavor. Am I weird?

2cents, What, she wouldn't talk to you for years? I got to try that. Talk about befitting from someone else present. My wife already thinks I'm nuts. so I think she would just chalk that up as another nutty thing. I've went from a computer nerd to a garden turd. Nothing like keeping the garden full of nutrients. But she says she still loves me. Must be all the free veggies.

I have built and installed many bat houses and lead the bat house project at my local Nature Center. I just collect the guano from the ground under the houses every two weeks during the occupied season. With two of my bat houses having over 400 bats each in them, it doesn't take long to scoop up a gallon! I have had a 90% occupancy rate with my bat house designs so getting guano is usually an easy task for me.
I spent several happy days filling trailer loads of sheep and cow manure from a slurry pit and carting the lot in several journeys to my new garden about 200 metres away from the pit. Lucky it was earlier this spring otherwise flies would have ruined the experience.
Really enjoyed it… weird but at least now I know I'm not alone!
