In the morning, I'm usually out there with my first mug of tea or coffee, so I've been drinking up, then putting my gleanings in the mug. Right now, I can come back to make breakfast with a bit of greens for the omelet and some wild strawberries for the cereal in the mug.

I can see though, that as the veggie garden matures, I'm going to need more than a mug.

Oh. I've also started leaving a pair of gardening gloves stuck on top of some tomato stakes -- a handy way to dry them, maybe acts like little "scarecrows", and conveniently available when I need to get in the dirt. The other day, my 6 year old rearranged a glove so that it was *almost* pointing *the finger* -- I was astonished because I'm pretty sure she doesn't know what that means. As it turned out, before I said anything, she said to herself, "Oh that doesn't work... " and changed it to make the glove hold a little spray of roses.
