I HATE wrens, they are pest birds and I don't allow them to nest around my house. I would, however love to be able to provide nesting for sweet bluebirds and doves. My bluebirds are dumb and build in the gutter where their babies drown and wash out when it rains. Doves are smarter and build in trees. I just love doves and their sweet cooing noise!

I know, and Gary's shoehouse is really cute! I was just noticed that was wrens nesting in there, and for me wrens are pest birds. They already destroyed one of my Micro Toms trying to build a nest in the pot. They also sit on the porch and sing annoyingly loud much too early for me where as all other birds are more polite and sing more quietly and later in the morning or out in the woods.
