geese are also reputed to be good weeders and eat the slugs out of your garden without eating the garden.

When I was in grade school my Grandmother had a strawberry patch 25'x40' with a fence to keep the 4 geese in. She said, geese will eat anything but a strawberry. Her strawberry patch had no grass and no weeds. We had strawberries every year 1st week of June. Young people need to learn the old ways and not use toxic poisons to kill weeds and grass. I have never planted strawberries Wife says they are too much work we have no geese. Alice grew up in northern Michigan her Grandfather had strawberries and geese.rainbowgardener wrote:https://www.facebook.com/44181509283153 ... 371984341/

If that thing actually works, it's pretty cool. I don't see myself stopping hand-weeding anytime soon though, I don't actually mind it. I carry a sharp, curved "sickle-like" weeder with me when I walk around the garden and just cut out weeds at the surface (just like that robot) as I go. Doesn't really take much time, and for me, you need to spend time with your plants!
