Leafy peppers...

I have grown lots of pepper plants from seeds and they are really going for it at the moment. However, all of their efforts seems to be going into leaves. they are really bushing out at the moment but have only got tiny buds, any no flowers as yet...

any ideas on how I can get them to focus on fruiting?

Hi Sminkah,

If water is inconsistant when they are ready to flower, that will cause the flowers to abort. Has water or rain been inconsistant lately? They also like a side dressing of compost as they mature. Here's a helpful site about sweet peppers.

I keep some of them in the greenhouse, and they are watered regularly. They have buds on them, they are getting ready to flower. They are just taking their time. I wanted to know if there was a way I could just help them along a bit, force the flowers rather than the leaves?

I think a side dressing of compost will do the trick for you.
