Is something wrong with my lettuce?

Hi there. I am new here so hopefully I'm posting this in the right forum.

I have a small garden and this is the first year I've tried growing lettuce. It is a Burpee loose leaf salad mix. I started it in a container in mid-March and I've been enjoying harvesting from it over the past couple months. However, I have noticed this past week that the edges of some of the leaves are turning a spotted / mottled white/beige. This is primarily on the larger leaves. The smaller leaves seem to be fine. The white edges don't rub off like powder, and they aren't dry or brittle either. I haven't seen these white edges before.

I don't know much about lettuce so I'm honestly not sure if this is something normal or if it's a problem. Some disease? Sunburn? Or did I just wait too many days to pick those leaves? What do I do?

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not sure what that is. Are you growing it inside or outside? Lettuce only thrives in cooler weather. Is it hot where you are? I do lettuce in the spring and fall. I pull it when it gets hot.
