What's eating new okra seedlings?

IMG_20180612_194420492~2.jpg
As soon as my okra emerged from the ground something has been eating the heck out of it. Some little plants have nothing left, others have part leaves gone or holes. I've never grown okra before. I can't see any insects except some ants crawling around the ground but not on the plants.

Possibly slugs. Go out and look after dark, to see if any slugs are out. If so, try some sluggo - organic iron phosphate granules, which I use for all of my greens.

If there are slime trails around your okra plant then slugs are the culprit for sure.
