Friend or Foe? What bug is this?

I'm having trouble identifying these blue and orange insects all over my eggplants. What are these guys? Are they friend or foe?

That's the larvae of a ladybird...bug.
Definately a friend.

Oooohhh! Lady bug babies! They eat aphids (bad bugs) like kids eat candy. Definitely good bugs!
