This is my first year planting a veggie garden that I'm crazy proud of (started all the plants from seeds, also a first time thing for me) and something is eating/destroying my cabbage plants and eggplant plants. Does anyone know what this is and how I can stop it?
We searched it a little and just bought BT to kill off worms, if that's what it is. Is this treatment the way to go? Thanks in advance!

Some of that looks like slug damage. Slugs are not caterpillars and are unaffected by Bt.
I like diatomaceous earth, which works against most things that would crawl over it, including the cabbage worms and the slugs. It is not a poison, just works mechanically and is harmless to non-crawling critters, including humans. Only drawback to DE is that it has to be re-applied after rain. But if you are in a dry summer area, that's not such a big deal.
