White Fungus in Shrub Bed Mulch

Started getting some white blobs in the mulch in my shrub bed this spring. When hit with a hose they released clouds of brown spores. After recent heavy rains there is a white dusting all over the mulch in the shrub bed.

Help! what is it and how do I get rid of it?

Thanks

Good afternoon OP,

Pictures as well as any chemicals that you have used in the past. Mold is not very decomposed and a haven for insects and pathogens alike especially after heavy rain falls. Assuming it is a mold/fungi, liquid copper at the recommended dosage works wonders. Once your plant(s) are cured then I would neem oil once every two weeks as part of an IPM (integrated pest management) program.

Hope this helps
