What are these eggs (?) on my lavender?

Do you have any idea what these are? I'm guessing I should get rid of them...
They are on my outdoor potted lavender plant, I noticed them just this week while trimming for winter. I'm in Denver, Colorado (US).

They are lined up like Scale. Hard to tell by the picture. Can you give us some detail.

Sorry, it's hard to get my camera to focus on it. I attached another photo that may be slightly better. They are hard-shelled smooth grey ovular discs that measure approximately 5mm or 1/4 inch each. They seem flat. No movement noted.

Yes! That's them alright- thank you! I was hoping they were some cool beneficial I had never seen.. But alas, I'll snip the branch off. I've had so many more pests this year- I though I was in the clear now that it's winter!
