Harlequin Bugs are here with the summer heat

We're in the midst of 90's/70's heat wave, and right on schedule, the harlequin bugs are here with the summer heat.

"harlequin" synonyms -- jester, baffoon, clown... Even their eggs are somehow ludicrous:

I discovered them on red Russian kale. This is it, I harvested as much as I could because quality is only going to go down from here on out until frost. Then the plants that are still alive will grow new beautiful leaves as long as the gray cabbage aphids don't get to them.

There are adults, juvies, and eggs all over the Kale and bolted and blooming mustards and radishes. I knocked most of the adults and juvies I found into a bucket of soapy water, but I only found two clusters of eggs, and I'm sure more are out there.

BTW I found few of these, too -- the waxy yellow smear is cabbage moth egg cluster

Thanks for the warning! I'm going to check my plants tomorrow.
