BUG ID HELP

So I think its just a form of lady bug but as their appear to be a few hundred now living in my bonsai and patio garden I thought I should get a second opinion. The bugs have the same shape and size as a ladybug but are primarily black with what looks like an orange "u" shape outlining their rear, any ideas not much luck on google

Hi, I'm a little east in chesterfield. I have seen a couple of these. There are actually quite a few species of ladybugs. I believe these are one of them. While I haven't found any exact picture ids. I didn't see any damage at all from the bugs so I let them be. They were hanging out in an area close to an aphid problem area, this was another reason I thought they may be ladybugs. Just my two cents.
