Caterpillar ID

Found this little guy on my pepper plant, any idea what it is?

what a beauty! unfortunately I can't help. Browsed around some caterpillar id sites and could not find it.

Hummingbird and sphinx moths also have prominent eyespots, but they are clearly not your guy.

Just for fun though, here's a picture of a sphinx moth looking quite creepy and snake like... you can see how the eyespots would make a good defense.

thanks, I looked around and couldn't find it either. That is a cool looking moth!
