What's eating the leafy greens? (photos attached)

My friend/neighbor and I share a garden and something is eating the kale, chard, collards - dense, leafy greens. They're mostly ignoring the lettuce and they're not eating the leaves of the snap pole beans. My garden partner has been gardening in this plot for a number of years and never encountered this problem before. Neither of us has actually seen anything besides a few ants on the plants. Any insight on what it might be would be so appreciated!

Some of the damage looks like it could be slugs/snails and/or crickets, if it is there are organic baits you can use. Some of the other looks like it could be leaf minors etc. I would recommend that you go to
www.gardening.cornell.edu/homegardening
Hit the vegetable button and then look at the entries for each of the affected vegetables. At the bottom of the discriptions is a section on common problems and pests that each is most susceptible to. There will be others that might not bother growers in NY as well, but they usually cover the majority.
