Here we have column A - borax laced honey - and column B - borax laced peanut butter.
These ants are in a protein with a touch of icing mood.

So happy to hear of a natural way to get rid of ants (they are in our compost and just starting to move into the garden). We put out the peanut butter with borax this morning - it was slow for the first couple of hours, but more and more came as the hours went by. At the moment, it's almost alarming to see how many have been lured to the stuff. I am glad that the garden is away from the house .
Any idea how long it takes for the ants to stop coming? Should we expect that this will be a multi-day treatment plan and refresh it each morning?

I would not put honey/sugar water/peanut butter laced with boric acid outdoors, or anywhere that children or small animals might get to it. It is not the deadliest of poisons, but it isn't exactly "non-toxic," either, as Helpful Gardener points out here:
