Garlic is well known for pest control as well as having antibacterial properties. If you use the Search the Forum for organic insect control you will find a number of people's recipes. Here's a couple places to start:

and in this thread https://www.helpfulgardener.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14687 is this:

All-round Insecticide: Chop four large onions, two cloves of garlic, and four hot chillies. Mix them together and cover with warm, soapy water and leave it to stand overnight. Strain off that liquid and add it to five litres of water to create an all-round insecticide.

I know other people have posted other variants, but I had trouble finding them.

May I ask what problem you wish to solve? A particular pest?

There are many recipes for various homemade remedies.

Lemon is most often used as a repellent especially for mosquitoes and cats (they don't like the smell). The peels usually work the best.

Lemon is acidic and I have recipes that use lemon juice and vinegar for weed control. However, it is usually used for sidewalks where nothing is intended to grow. Tough weeds can take several treatments.
