Cuckoo Wasp????

Today we saw this metallic turquoise blue flying insect in the garden. After looking on the web I think it is a cuckoo wasp :?

There is not much on the internet that I could find on it but it seems like it is not a good thing to have because depending on the type of cuckoo wasp it could be parasitic to mason bees

Here are the pictures I could get of it. They are not the best because it wasn't very cooperative in the photo shoot :(

Has anyone ever seen this bug?? Is it as bad as I think it is?? Thanks!

interesting. I didn't know about cuckoo wasps. They sound pretty. Wiki says: often highly sculptured, with brilliantly colored metallic-like bodies (thus the common names jewel wasp, gold wasp, or emerald wasp are sometimes used).

I'm seeing so many different things in the garden this year so I'm always on the web looking for bug information. While this one is definitely pretty looking. It better not be attacking any good bees
