Seen these pods on our Salmon Berry bush today?

When mowing the lawn, came across these little pods that are hollow on the inside on our Salmon Berry bush..anyone know what they are??

They are some kind of insect gall / egg case. They are hollow because the insects already left. I can't quite tell. It is possible they are egg cases of praying mantis, which would be a lovely gift for your garden. Praying mantis eat a lot of the bad guys that you don't want in your garden.

Thanks for the info! I did some research myself and found out they are wasp galls that have already hatched! Now to remove them..any advice? :) :)

just pull them off. they are now empty dry husks....
