Christmas cactus dropping leaves

I have a Christmas cactus that has been doing well since I bought it in May, but recently began dropping leaves. The leaves look healthy and I even potted a few of them to see if they would grow, but I'm still concerned. By the way, I live in the Southern Hemisphere, so the cactus isn't flowering right now--it flowers in May-June. It's also growing some new leaves, which I guess is a good sign? I bought a new AC recently (the previous one had been broken for months) so maybe that has something to do with it? Although the cactus isn't that close to the AC. Can anyone tell me what's going on?
The one on the left is the one I'm worried about. The one on the right I've had for about a month and I think it's doing okay.
