I don't know what's wrong with my aloe vera.

I've had it since about April, actually my sister got it and she was over watering it and I took it and saved it. But it used to have alot of leaves, but now it's down to only one. The bottom is dark and soft but the top is fine. Did it get too cold?Because I had it by my window... Or was it not getting any sunlight? I have it loosely tied to a stick in my bathroom.

The bottom should not be soft. It sounds like it is still rotting. The pot looks too big for it and you probably have a lot of humidity in the bathroom. You may be able to take a tip cutting. Callous it off and start a back up plant in a 3 inch pot using cactus soil for good drainage. Remember to let the pot be almost dry before watering again.

Ok thanks. How do you callous it?
