White crystals on my cactus?

I just bought a cactus and after a few days, white crystals have started growing on the top. Any idea what it might be? I'd really appreciate any advice! Thanks!

It looks like there is an injury to the top of the plant. If so it could be "bleeding" and the crystals are just dried sap. Try tipping the plant over and rinsing them off.
