Is my compost suitable for string of pearls plant?

Hello, I'm new to succulents and have recently purchased a string of pearls. It's only in a small pot and I want to create a bigger plant. I have some wilkos indoor potting compost which is a 50%peat 50%softwood fibre. Does anyone know if this is suitable for reporting my string of pearls?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Opinions will vary, and my opinion is that I would never let peat anywhere near a succulent plant, or any of my potted plants at all. It's a horrible medium in which to attempt to grow plants, airless when moist, hydrophobic when dry, and is environmentally unsustainable.
