White spots on Jade?

Hey all,

I have had this Jade plant for many years, no issues. Kept indoors over winter.

Went to do some spring cleaning and noticed these white spots on the plant.

It has been kept indoors since October, with no new plant additions to that room of the house.

The spots are not moving, and they feel granular and hard, almost like mineral deposits. I can scrape them off with my thumbnail.

They are only on the tops of the leaves, none on the underside, and only on the tips of the plant (not on the older growth ).

The plant is only watered from the bottom.

Any ideas? I will see if I can scrape some of them off to look at under thr microscope at work tomorrow.

Thanks!
