please, what is name of my plant?
I received it from a friend as very tiny plant. it grew nicely and filled out. one day she visited me and was so happy to see how healthy it was. AND said it has babies too. I did not notice that. she said when I am ready to transplant, could she have a baby or two as it was a plant her mother gave her.
few days later I decided to move it into a larger pot. I gently wiggled the 3 babies off the mother....tho I think it was too soon!!! only one had a tiny root and the other two had none. was not going to give up on them.
I put them into light moist soil and put a bag over them. not sure if they will root or not.
either way, I would like to know name of plant and any info offered as to propagating this plant.
thanks

There are different kinds of hawarthia and the white ridges look like the one I have. it is a small plant and the pups will appear on the side after it blooms. The blooms will come out aound 6-8 inches with a small cluter of flowers at the top. The flowers are not very showy. They don't last very long. It is a good succulent to have since it does not get very big so it is very good for a dish garden. They can stay in a relatively small pot for a long time. Just don't over water it.

hi
my spiky plant as I call it has been such a prolific little plant.
however noticed in last few weeks it is getting brown tips.
it is placed on an east window sill for only morning sun.
orig pic was dark so I lightened it...hope you can see the brown tips...
may she needs a bigger pot?
comments please
