best DIY soil mix for succulents

Hello!!

For all the succulent lovers out there, what kind of soil mix do you use for your succulents? Instead of the commercial, ready-made ones, I'm more interested in the DIY soil mixes.

I've read various sources online and most recommend succulent soil mixtures of 1 part regular potting soil (preferably lighter ones), 2 parts sand or grit and 1 part perlite (for well-draining purposes), along those lines.

Also, I'm thinking of including some coco husk chips in mine, in addition to the above. What do you think about coco (coir) husk chips (not the soil, but the actual husk pieces) and would this be suitable to include in the potting mix for succulents or cacti?

Any advice (or discussion on this) would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Coir holds too much water. I use cinder and more cinder. It makes for a well drained mix with lots of air space and where I live it can rain almost every day, so it works.
