Does it matter when I water my cacti/succulents?

I usually water them when it's nice and sunny out, cause I feel they will dry out better this way. Is it better to wait until the sun goes down, and they are cooling off? Does it matter? Yes they are completely dried out before I water them. Thanks

If your plants are healthy keep doing what you are doing. Early morning watering is best for all plants.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know that.

Here in Phoenix Arizona, it normally rains between 8pm and 5 am. I try to water while it rains outside so that's about 3 times a year lol.

If they are healthy, you are probably doing it right. However, a little planning can go a long way. I water in the evenings, when it gets dark. I water mine once a month during their growing season, which is March to September. After that, I water them once in November and once in December. After December's watering, they get no more water until March when the plan starts again.
