century plant

I have a century plant that isn't growing very fast. Every time it gets a new leaf, an older one falls off. I've had it for 2 years now, and it hasn't done much. It's in a good sized pot, so I don't think the roots are crowded.

I would love to see it get bigger!

Has anyone else ever had one?

I have never grown a century plant, but I know that it likes droughts and then intense periods of rain. The internet says it like 8inches a year. To me that seems like just two heavy rains a year. Just curious how often do you water it? One idea I had was to sync up a heavy watering around just before spring.

Usually I water once a month, but lately I have been watering every couple of days. I think maybe I should mix some sand in the dirt and get it to a window with better light. Thanks for the watering tip! I'm going to let it dry out and see what happens

These grow in the ground in full sun here, they do grow extremely slowly, even in the ground.
