I have one in my cactus bowl and it has turned red. The plant still looks fine. So do yours. I am no expert on cati but I have my bowl that I enjoy. The plant still look healthy so don't worry. May just be a temp season thing. My bowl is on the patio under cover to protect from frosth - it stays out unless there is a freeze then it comes in just until the temps get over freezing in the am. Honestly - they are my neglect plants. I give them a little water during the summer - and I mean little - and otherwise just leave them alone. My cacti either survive or they don't - mostly do so - in spite of my neglect. The red is actually kind of cool looking.

When left to their own devices outside in warm climates, they reach maturity and reproduce.

Nice! Thanks for those photos. I used to be in a warmer climate in SoCal and had the same kinds of results. Here, things are a bit slower and a bit trickier when it comes to the succulents.

Quick question ... are all those planted in that washtub?
