Pleiospilos nelii - One Side Leaves Damaged - Way to Help?

I bought this at Home Depot. One side of the leaves is very damaged. The other side is full and healthy. It had lost all of its soil - I don't know for how long. I planted it in slightly larger planter and wet the soil very well. is there anything else I can do to help it? (Can someone let me know how to upload pics here?)
