This cactus have the ability to lower blood pressure and keep your blood sugar levels low too.

Eat it like you would any other vegatable with dinner.

Slice and dice a Pad then stir fly with onions and cilentro.

I have seen these sold at all the Mexican flea markets I have been at in several different States. Eat new groth pads they have no needles yet.

Needles are micro small and scrap away with a knife like cleaning a fish. I planted some pads in pots and they grew roots in 2 weeks.

They are so cheap it is hardly worth the trouble to grow them to eat, 6 pads for $1. Wal Mart sells them $1.49 per lb in the produce section.

I need to keep an eye out for them. I saw dragonfruit the other day but they wanted $5 just for one fruit and they weren't even in good shape too.

They are exceedingly easy to grow. There is actually an Eastern Prickly Pear that grows natively here in Ohio; I think it is our only native cactus. I have just dropped a pad on the ground and had it root itself in and grow. The flowers are beautiful.
