Collected cacti

I have a recently acquired a local field collected cactus. I'm unsure of the species. Maybe a fire barrel cactus? The cactus has spent blooms on top of small round fruits. Upon twisting one off, I noticed many black seeds poured out. Does anyone have experience with germinating these, and are they easy to grow?
