Hawaiian Palm - Not well

I have had a Hawaiian Palm for the last 3 years and it's done really well until recently. The stem has become quite floppy and feels quite soft despite haveing new growth. Is this a sign of the roots rotting? I know it shouldnt be over watered but I know it hasn't been under watered.
Can anyone advise how I can get this poor plant back to it's former health?
Thanks

I would inspect the roots and get rid of any rotted ones. Then repot in dry soil, and hope for the best. Give it the light it wants to the best of your ability, and hope for the best. Sorry I couldn't be of greater assistance.
