Aloe Flower trunk

Hi, I'd like to find out about how to remove the trunk in the aloe plant that presently has flowers. The flowers are on their way out and will dry up and fall off within the next3/4 weeks..
In order to remove the trunk, is it twisted out or cut off with a stump left in the plant?
Thanks.

I gather your asking about the raceme, I.e. the inflorescence or flower stalk? I just wait until they dry. Then they should be able to be removed by just a gentle tug with the hand.
