New Type of Plant from China, ID please

Hello,

I was in China recently and saw a cactus plant I have not seen before. I saw it at three different places of different sizes but the pics below are of the largest one I found.

So cool because it has large leaves that fall off and leave spines, and grows in fan shape and also tube shape (very random look)

I would love to get one for my yard, but through my very rough Chinese, all I could get out of people was that it is a cactus. Perhaps it is not???

What is this? I have more pics if you need.

Thanks in advance.

It's not a cactus, it's a Euphorbia. E. cristata is close, but not quite it.

Hmmmm.

Off to the pictorials!

It looks like a member of the Euphorbia to me. There are some that grow in a tubular form and some that grow fan-shaped, or crested. Could yours, perhaps be a grafting of two different species?

I think it is a Euphorbia neriifolia.

Thanks for the quick responces!

Looking at Google images, 90% of the returns for Euphorbia neriifolia don't look anything like this, but I did find this pic, which is pretty close!

So now then, I need to find one and learn how to properly grow it, I got a few places around the house that would look nice, each with different water/sun resources.

Thanks again!

Yeh I see what you are saying when looking it up in google images but I too found photos that are similar that are labeled as such. Great find!

Some fun info that I found on is that it is a medicinal plant.its milk is used for treatment of skin problems, impotence and erectile dysfunction.powder is used for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes mellitus.
