I think I read on another topic -- that I may have to let the end of the leaf callous (sp?) before planting it to make new plants?
My mom gave me 2 of these and when transplanting some of the leaves fell off -- and well.. I really like like these little buggers and wanted to take the opportunity to multiply if I could.
Thanks,
Silvia
My 'rule of thumb' regarding whether to let a cutting from a succulent callus over is how 'juicy' the cut end seems. If it's quite wet looking, I give it time to dry. If it doesn't look wet, then I just go ahead and plant it. In my experience, leaf cuttings don't need to dry before they're planted, but check the cut end that will be going in the soil.
