My aloe producing alot

Hello, I posted here not so long ago (about a month or so) - since then ive had more pups grow. I Re-potted the other pups but they don't seem to be growing as quick as the ones left with the mother plant? is this because of the nutrients they are getting from the mother ?
Also the pups that I left with the mother plant are about 2-3 inches big, is it okay to re- pot now? will they grow as quick?
I also had a baby die on me, I re potted it, the baby within a month went all brown? why was this so I can prevent it from happening to my other pups?
Finally (sorry for all the questions) - I only would like to keep one of my pups, I have already given some away as gifts to my family, however would like to send some in the post...how can I do this effectively without the aloe dying and keeping it healthy? Ive never sent any before :S

Sorry for all the questions any help will be great !
Thankyou so much in advance, very much appreciated, I love this forum :D

I would say that three inches pups would be ready to repot. When you cut them, have them lay for few days, I usually put them for a week in a dark spot. This way you avoid rotting, that what might it happened to one of your pups.
You can send the pups in a mail, they will be fine just protect its leaves. They are fine without water for a very long time.
