Tender bonsai ID request

Hi all,

I usually grow UK deciduous trees as bonsai outdoors, but I took the plunge and bought a tree from B&Q DIY store the other day. It is of unnamed species, and care instructions suggest 12 degrees C and filtered sunlight, so therefore tender and 'indoor' for where I live. The roots look interesting and I think there are possibilities here.

But I need to know the species! I've browsed other posts don't thinks its a ficus. The leaves grown in an interesting group of 4 at the terminal. Ligustrum? Leaves seem elongated.

Grateful for any help.

It is difficult to id a plant that is not in its natural shape and without flowers.

I was hoping the leaves would do it. They are c. 2cm long at largest, and seem to grow in regular groups of 4 together emanating from a node as follows: two (an opposite pair) remaining leaflets, while the other two grow to full size. The foliage close up shows this.
