New to bonsai

Hi, I have just purchased a bonsai from a garden centre. I would like to know the type, as it didn't come with any information. I am really looking forward to learning a new art and keep my new little buddy happy. Please look at the pictures and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Dave

I think it is probably a Chinese elm, but some of the bonsai experts around here can check me on that.

I stink at IDing trees. But I am going to go with RBG's 'elm".
