Just bought a Bonsai

Hi. I just bought a little Bonsai tree plant from a local florist. They weren't exactly sure what it was so I looked it up online and I guess it sort of looks like a Fukien Tea Bonsai but the leaves on it I wouldn't describe as "glossy" or having white dots on them (though some leaves have a little powdery stuff on them). It presently has no flowers or fruits. I'm keeping it near a window so it gets a little indirect sun. I'm thinking about watering it 3x a week.

I've posted a few pics of it. Can anyone tell me what it is and a good watering schedule?

Thanks!

I was looking through the other posts here in this forum and based on this post:

it looks like what I have may be a Ficus?

It even has the same little wooden ball thing.

Please do not water to schedule. use a wooden toothpick or chop-stick. stick it into soil every day. Withdraw chop-stick after a minute. If it comes out damp, do not water. if it comes out dry, water it liberally.

Figs in August should be outdoors till Columbus day (more or less) and there after on a sunny windowsill with supplimental light from October till May.

Any plant, tree, bush, shrub, or vine gets better advice when the grower shares where they live (oh, say zone and state). Even plants that live inside a greenhouse.

Your tree should have any glued on rocks chiseled off, and it is not in a bonsai pot.
