Welcome Angelica!

Your new tree-baby is a juniper. It needs to live outdoors 24-7-365.

Retail Juniper are often little more than rooted cuttings. So that they can be sold at very low retail prices. The downside to a newly rooted cutting is often rocks are glued onto soil to ease shipping (those rocks should be removed) and its small rood size makes them particularly fragile.

Invest in a wooden chop-stick. insert it into soil daily and test it for dryness. if dry it is time to liberally water. If it comes out damp, no water today.

Central heating is like nuclear weapon strike to those small feet. They (the roots) will not be able to transport water to the crown. The feet will die and then the top follows.

With proper care your juniper should outlive you. Love him out of doors.
