Bonsai Tree Identification

Hi, please help me identify this bonsai. Thanks!

Location: Hawaii, zone 12a 587 ft elev.

I'm guessing here but it looks like a raphiolepsis indica (Indian Hawthorn) It is related to roses and has small flowers that can be white or pink. I am going more by the look of the trunk and the leaf shape. The plant in the picture has much darker leaves than I am used to seeing but that could be because it is in lower light. It will be easier to tell when your plant blooms. Then you can compare the flowers.

If that gravel is glued on, you should remove it (chip it off). It cuts down on air and water circulation and makes it harder for you to know when your bonsai should be watered.
