Olive possibly. I'm not really able to look for details on leaves.

Yeah, I was thinking a close up picture of the leaves would help.

Still (to me) looks olive.

Why with a residence in Malta, is it indoors?

Great if it's olive! Local conditions should be great for it! Btw, I don't keep it inside, just brought it in for photo cos it was dark outside :)

Don't olives usually grow alternate leaves? (I.e. one to left, next to right?) This one seems to make four leaves per node, or 2 opposite leaves, an next set growing perpendicularly to the first really close by. Also, leaves are much smaller and finer than regular olive, so this would be some nana variety?

Cheers

Greg

Also, the leaves are not thick and rigid like olive leaves usually are. They're light in colour and quite thin like, say, chinese elm leaves. Not sure if you can see it in the photos, but the trunk is also kinda strawy (?), looks like you might be able to pull strings of it out. Hope that makes sense, I ll try to take even better pictures, with a proper camera not my phone :)

Luckily, my tree has made a flower since yday - that should help with IDing it. I'm also adding some other pics for reference, especially re: the trunk. Any ideas? Still thinkin olive? I looked up olive flowers, but they look quite different...
