just got this bonsai please help me with what type it is

This is not a species that I am personally familiar with but it may be a plant called desert rose.

It looks like Adenium but, well, wow, um, I didn't think it was possible to kill Adeniumm through lack of care, but that looks to be exactly what whomever you purchased this tree from tried to do, and halfway succeeded. Other than standard cactus/succulent care, I can't offer much except to say that they need to be repotted better, and with more care.
