My First Bonsai

Hello Forum! I just got my first bonsai and I'm really excited about it. Unfortunately I can't identify it. It didn't say on the label and I can't find an exact match on the Internet. It must be a pretty common one though. I hope the pictures I provided are accurate enoug and you will be able and willing to help me.
Thank you so much!

To me, it looks like a type of ficus. Let me research some more.

I asked the opinion of others and most of them told me it's a Ligustrum. A Chinese Privet to be exact. I don't know if this is a correct ID though. I can provide you with more pictures if you want.

Thanks for your help!

If you cut a branch does a milky sap come out? If yes its probably a ficus, its hard to tell from a photo since they do have similar leaves. It really could be either, but Ficus's have a rubbery white sap.
