I saved this from a funeral basket three or four years ago. there's two plants twisted around each other. it's close to ten inches high.

The fact that you have gotten it to persist that long in a tiny little hole like that is amazing in itself. It certainly could be a ficus. Immature trees are often very different looking than they do when they mature...
You may want to consider transplanting it into something larger, so you can encourage growth on it. You may be pushing your luck to try and get it to survive that way for much longer.
