Did a little bit of Google researching this morning (I luv the internet). I cannot say for certain, but it looks like it may be a "False" Cypress, perhaps this blue moss variety, from the looks of the "fuzzy" foliage...

I don't know Rosaelyn.
Most Chamaecyparis that I've seen fans at the terminals. The ones in the picture that Marsman is showing look pointy to me.
We'll have to wait for his reply. He would be the best one to compare the pictures in the link (gorgeous plant btw) with what he's got.

I thought Hinoki Cypress were the type with fan-shaped foliage?

Chamaecyparis do not always fan out in their foliage...

I agree that it's likely a Chamaecyparis of some variety.

So, I worked on the Blue Moss, affectionately known as Dr. Seuss, on Sunday afternoon, just to clean it up. It was a freebie special from my local nursery when I picked up a boxwood. It was ugly and they couldn't sell it. We all know ugly can be transformed into beautiful. Anyway, I'm itching for Spring and needed something to play with. I had to kick the pot a couple of times to free it from the ice where it was stuck to the ground.

Looks like it has some good potential. I really like the blue, mossy look it has to it.
