What kind of bonsai do I have? (Money Tree)

My girlfriend bought me a bonsai as a get well present :D . And I have no idea what kind it is... And now that I am getting better, my bonsai tree is looking worse and worse than the day she gave it to me :( ... So, first of all I need to know what kind of tree I have. Can anyone help me? :?
Here is a link to a picture of it:

Looks to me like a money tree -

I don't know much about them personally but they seem to be pretty common, hopefully someone else can confirm and provide some more care information

Yup, money tree. Needs a lot of light or will die. I wouldn't really consider it bonsai, but that's my opinion.

Thank you so much for the information. :) That helps a lot!
It needs a lot of light or it will die?!?!? I live in Cleveland, OH. So that's not good, we won't see sunlight really until March (if we're lucky). LOL! :o

I can't tell very easily from the picture, but I'm thinking it might also be a Schefflera brassica. It not only seems to have the characteristic growth of one, but the only money trees I have ever seen come with the braided trunks. If you could get a close-up on one of the branches that might help. Regardless, bright light is probably best for now (if it is a schefflera it can tolerate low light, but better safe than sorry). I would also remove the moss, as this makes watering more difficult, and repot it into a container with drainage holes unless the pot its in already has them (if its a pot within a pot scenario, then usually the outside pot lacks the drainage holes, and therefore it should it should not be used).

Here are a couple more pictures to look at to help determine what kind of bonsai this is...

It appears to be a money tree, Pachira aquatica.
