unknown tree

Hi there

Can anyone help identifing this tree got from a friend who was having a clear out, he is not sure what it is and would love to know.
The leaves are fairly small and very shiny when first come through then seem to go a reddish colour .

Post a picture of the whole tree for reference, leaves alone may not always get a good answer.

No idea, I would guess some kind of oak and probably be wrong. Is this a native tree? That could narrow possibilities down significantly.

Yah, it's hard to tell from just the leaves. Might be a Poplar of some sort. Looks similar to a Grey Poplar, except for the strange red rim on the leaves.
