Compost on a roll!

Heck yeah! This compost is only about 4-6 weeks old. I laid it out just to give the pill bugs a chance to crawl out. This is about 1/4 of what I still have. Thats alot of grass clippings and banana peels I tell ya!

Looks great! What methods did you use to get such nice compost?

Hey Maria!

I think I have to thank mother nature for this one. Lately in Houston it's been muggy and hot. Perfect compost weather. However I have been composting at my new house for 2 years now and always leave some behind for those critters to produce quickly and live in the 'new' stuff.
Lawn grass seems to help immensely. A few days after putting the lawn clippings in the compost it gets hot hot hot. My husband and I also eat a ton of fruit and coffee so we are always adding to it too.

Looking great but I gotta say, "The thought of 'compost on a roll' freaked me out a bit".
